i'm currently using set of pirelli DSC sc2. Love the feel n grip of the tires but after one trackday i already noticed crack on the sidewall . this is my 2nd set of pirellis and same problem i encountered from my 1st set. Jon warned me but it was too late, already purchased the tires. but now, i'm looking for a street/track/affordable tires i can easily switch to after this set. any recommendation

Q2's or BT002's. I heard that they were good. I havent used them but recommended by may of the the guys. they also said bt016 are tested proven at palomar and a couple of track days. Not that expensive either.

Q2's and BT-003RS should suffice for Street or Track Use.
California Superbike School Instructors Swears by Dunlop Q2's and I've heard quite a bit of good reviews and testimonials about the BT-003RS from Racers and A-group Trackday riders.
I personally havent experienced the Q2's just yet. I had a brief stint with the BT-003RS tires and I liked them. Just remember to run the front at a lower tire pressure than the rear. Its backwards from the Dunlops and Michelins I currently use where the front tires run a higher pressure over the rear tires.
Overall, I dont think that you can go wrong with either Dunlop Q2 or Bridestone BR-003RS. It just comes down to personal choice and how much money you have to spend. ;D

CAUTION !!!!!! CAUTION!!!!!
AFTER EXTENSIVE TESTING [/font]I FOUND THAT THE BT-003 RS TIRES DO NOT DO WELL IN THE DIRT !!!! I FOUND OUT AFTER TESTING THEM OUT FOR TRACTION AND DURABILITY THAT THIS IS A GOOD TIRE FOR YOUR AVERAGE TRACK RIDER AND EVERDAY STREET USE BUT BEWARE THESE TIRES DO NOT HAVE ANY TRACTION ON THE DIRT
PROS: GOOD TRACKDAY TIRE OPERATE WELL AT A WIDE RANGE OF TEMP. SMOOTH LEAN ANGLE GRIP WITH LITTLE TO NO SLIPING
CONS: FOR STREET USE ONLY ( NO DIRT)
A GOOD TIRE FOR DIRT WOULD BE THE BFG ALL-TERAIN 33" TIRES HAVE GOOD STREET WERE AND GOOD TRACTION ON AND OFF ROAD =)

Before Julez started using Slicks, he used BT-003RS. Have you seen the lean angles he was getting with those tires? Oh they work just fine. And for $250/set, you cant go wrong.
Mud Mess? I made the mess going to the front straight ;D
