Pilot Leathers, Chuckwalla Valley Motorcycle Association Offer Contingency Program for 2012 Season

Pilot Leathers will offer a simple, easy-to-use contingency award program for Chuckwalla Valley Motorcycle Association’s 2012 season – and racers in every CVMA class are eligible.

Pilot will award a $250 credit to CVMA’s class champions that can be used to purchase Pilot products. Racers do not have to purchase or even use Pilot products to be eligible for the award; all they have to do is fill out a contingency form before each round, display a Pilot decal on each side of their race bike and list Pilot as a sponsor.

If a racer is wearing a Pilot suit at each round, a bonus of $100 will be added to the credit earned. Pilot will award a $250 credit to each class champion, $200 for the second-place finisher, and $150 for the third-place finisher.

The Chuckwalla Valley Motorcycle Association – owned and operated by motorcycle racers and enthusiasts – will host a six-round, doubleheader series in 2012 on the newest road circuit in Southern California. Easily accessible from the Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Phoenix metropolitan areas, the 2.68-mile Ed Bargy-designed course was created with motorcycle road racing in mind. Here's some info from Cycle Gear for Rider Support program. This will help you racers out there if you're on a budget (like I was) or if you simply like to save some hard-earned cash! Unless you're a baller!

Cycle Gear has had this program for many years now and it's recently been updated. Here's how to qualify and how the program works:

Racer Support

*Must turn in a Resume of the most recent races you have competed in at your nearest Cycle Gear store. This can be at any level of racing. AMA, AFM, WERA, CSC, WSMC, CVMA, etc
Once approved you will be entitled to the following discounts...

I got a taste of how much racing cost I think I can only do every other race haha...support would be awesome thanks for the info...The main thing I learned is have a set of new tires is a must and maybe another for backup or a good set of takeoffs..running on takeoffs and racing them for a full weekend wasn't too good for me but still fun....

a new set of tires should last you the whole weekend
if not, consider practicing on take offs but you should also try to use the same type or tires you plan to race with

but its soooo much FUN! i wish i had the speed and finances to go racing
