Today i just got done bleeding my brake fluid and puttin new one (repsol dot4). the reason i did this is coz i had to change my left brake line for my bike coz the old one was defected and Galfer was nice enough to send me a new set for free. The problem is after i got done bleedin it i took my bike for a lil ride around my block and all of the sudden my front brake lever started to get really really hard til i had to pull over on the side coz my front brake locked. literally LOCK LOCK like i couldnt go anywhere.
any body know anything about this problem or if this already happen to you please let me know
im worried coz track day is coming up and i dont wanna have this problem on that day.

Sounds like you might have some warped brake pads or pistons that are sticking. Try cleaning the pistons to see if that frees it up. Might need a rebuild. Or by some new pads. Just some suggestions. Maybe others might have other ideas. Hope you get this fixed soon.

Wait, are you on a kawi? If only you rode a 600RR, I'd let you use a set of calipers for our Trackday.

Thermal Lock-up? The following is MY understanding of Thermal Lock-up: brake fluid in your brake lines got to hot and they expanded thus exerting unwanted pressure causing gradual brake pressure when you ride If that's what you call Thermal Lock-up, there's no way that that's the case you're dealing with, even rigorous and continuos use of brakes at the track; but then again, it could be one of those freak things that happen.

I concur with Mr240 and Jon, you probably have dirty calipers that need cleaning. I hope you fix the problemo man.
